Interior Painting Procedures
From custom painting needs to total interior coverage, Kingpainter can paint any surface you need painted or touched up inside your home.
Our Process
More likely than not we are working in spaces our customers live in. That is why we take the utmost care when painting interior spaces. We begin by ensuring that:
- All furniture is covered completely with plastic
- All floors are well covered with dropcloths
Prep Work
We ensure that all surfaces are prepped properly for a smooth coat of paint that lasts.
- All surfaces are cleaned
- Walls are gently scuff sanded to help with paint adhesion
- Any existing holes or cracks are filled and sanded
- Watermarks are first sealed with high quality mould resistant sealants
- If necessary we apply trim tape
Additional Prep Services:
- Removing adhesives from walls that had wall paper
- Compound, sanding and smoothing of faulty walls
- scarping flaky ceilings and removing textured finishes
Painting Process
- All areas to be painted are primed if necessary
- Paint colours confirmed
- Edges & trim are carefully cut in with brushes
- Paint is applied to walls with rollers
- After drying time, second or third coat is applied for even coverage
- A spray gun can be used for application purposes in new buildings
Cleanup
We complete the job by properly cleaning up! We make sure that:
- All work areas are swept and vacuumed
- If we have moved furniture, it will be returned to its original place
- Remaining paint is left with customer for touch-ups
- Double check that the customer is happy with our job!
